3-D Endless Runner Game Using UNITY

Image
3-D UNITY  ENDLESS RUNNER GAME 3- D Unit Game Screen Grab Having worked on  2-D Unity Game the aim was to get familiar with the concepts and challenges of working in a 3-D Unity environment.   3-D Layout  Phases of Development   The game was developed in three phases. In the first Phase a 3-D environment was created for the game, in 2nd phase a game play was designed while in the last phase user interaction algorithms were added.   Phase I:      In this phase I created a 3-D environment for the   game, imported the assets, built light maps and added situational components. The imported assets included :- Character.  Farland Skies. Japanese Street Lamps. Lowpoly Street Pack. Plugins. Prefabs. Tori Gate.  Waldermast - Broccoli & Japanese Garden Package.    Imported 3- D Assets These assets were placed appropriately with the help of move, rotate and scale tools. Tori Gate   Lighting effects to include di...

CHANNEL ART - CANVA PROJECTS

Image
VISUAL MEDIA , CINEMATOGRAPHY AND EDITING     I love the aspect of expressing myself through visual media. The art and technology of cinematography and editing appeals to me and it is one place where I actually lose sense of time.          It started with me being the 'Go-To' man amongst family and friends for all types of visual media expressions . I have worked on my own maker videos , my moms tuition flyers & videos , freelanced for Get-Set-Go, an educational enterprise and done 3-D character modelling in Blender for my Unity games. Check out a few of the projects that I have worked upon.....  My Canva Portfolio         YouTube thumbnails/Channel Art 3-D Character Modelling in Blender "I am a work in progress dressed in the fabric of a world unfolding." - Ani DiFranco

STORY ENGINEERING - A KIND GESTURE

Image
Story Engineering    A STUDENT FILM ON SCHOOL BULLYING  A KIND GESTURE            Well, the Summer of 2019 was indeed marvellous and well spent under the guidance and tutelage of phenomenal Ms. Arti Jain, learning the 'Art of Media and Story Telling' at Woodstock School, Mussoorie.     Learning the language of cinematography  from   Ms. Arti   was         captivating and we :- Gained an insight into the fascinating and complex world of film making.   Explored the basics of creating a story and exploring the visual medium. Saw and analysed a cross-section of films, fiction, documentaries et al. Had a hands on training on video shooting a nd editing  and all this in the salubrious environs of Mussoorie.       Story Line     Wikipedia refers  'School Bullying'  as one or more perpetrators who have  greater physi...

ARDUINO OBSTACLE AVOIDING CAR - A TUTORIAL GUIDE

Image
I wanted to work on building a robotic car that could maneuver on its own and avoid obstacles.  This project was an extension to the ' Smartphone Controlled RC Car ' project I worked on last year during the pandemic. You can read   more about that project here . ARDUINO OBSTACLE AVOIDING CAR - A TUTORIAL GUIDE Components Used Arduino Uno L298N motor driver HC-SR04  distance sensor Servo Motor Cardboard and wheels for mounting everything Description For the project I attached the HC-SR04  distance sensor on top of a servo motor. The servo motor would rotate the distance sensor which could then scan the room and send data to the Arduino microcontroller. If  the sensor detected an obstacle within its proximity, the Arduino would then via the L298N - motor driver change the  RPM of either of the car's tires - effectively changing the direction.   Here is the video I made detailing every step through the entire build of the project. :)

PASSWORD PROTECTED DOOR LOCK SECURITY SYSTEM

Image
LCD KEYPAD DOOR LOCK USING AN ARDUINO   Hi ! how about locking your room using an LCD door lock. That would be nice, especially so if you want to lock out a pesky sibling. πŸ˜„ THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD REQUIRE An Arduino Uno Micro Controller  16 x 4 LCD display  12 V DC solenoid door lock  Led Lights  Some jumper wires for the connections    9 V battery (an external power supply more closer to 12 V  would be better ) Relay  10k potentiometer 220 Ohm resistor 4 x 4 keypad  HOW DOES THIS DOOR LOCK WORK   πŸ”πŸ”πŸ” When one enters the password for the door lock, the keys pressed match with the  default keys.  The solenoid lock is activated and the door lock opens.  Simultaneously, the LCD also displays a 'Welcome' message.   If the keys do not match the default password then the door lock remains closed. The LCD also displays 'Wrong Password' CIRCUIT DIAGRAM THE CODE  After setting up the circuit as shown a...

Hand Battery : Harnessing electricity  Well !! You πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰ are also a battery !! A human powered one !! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€Lets check this out. Item list   2 x cardboard covers  Copper plate   Aluminium foil  2 x jumper wires   A few paper clips   Multimeter  Procedure. Mount the copper plate on one of the cardboard covers and cover other cardboard cover with Aluminium foil.  Connect the two above prepared  plates to the multimeter test probes using the jumper wires. Set the multimeter to  the 200 milliampere setting.  Place one hand on each plate and observe the readings. If negative current is shown in the.meter, then simply reverse the connections of  the multimeter probes. You can even wet your hands with water (or sanitizer works the best) to make ...

MORSE CODE - HARNESSING ELECTRICITY TO COMMUNICATE

Image
HARNESSING ELECTRICITY TO COMMUNICATE - MORSE CODE Morse code  is based on name of its inventor Samuel Morse and was used first in 1844. For well over 100 years it was extensively used for communication including during the World War 1 and World War 2. UNDERSTANDING MORSE CODE Here is a video to understand the Morse Code and you can also try a few android apps to get the hang of Morse Code STARTING THE PROJECT An excellent resource to understand the Morse Code  and execute this project of harnessing electricity to communicate is via the Microsoft Education Workshop site     https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/education-workshop/telegraph.aspx Collecting materials for the project was super cool. It's mostly available online via Amazon or other web portals. A simple Google search and would suffice. I used an Arduino Uno micro controller for the project but you can use a Microbit micro controller also. PROCESS Lets get started.....first...
