Hand Battery

                                                Hand Battery : Harnessing electricity

Well !! You πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰ are also a battery !! A human powered one !! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€Lets check this out.

Item list
  •  2 x cardboard covers
  •  Copper plate
  •  Aluminium foil
  •  2 x jumper wires
  •  A few paper clips
  •  Multimeter

Procedure.
  • Mount the copper plate on one of the cardboard covers and cover other cardboard cover with Aluminium foil.
  • Connect the two above prepared  plates to the multimeter test probes using the jumper wires.
  • Set the multimeter to  the 200 milliampere setting.
  • Place one hand on each plate and observe the readings. If negative current is shown in the.meter, then simply reverse the connections of  the multimeter probes.
  • You can even wet your hands with water (or sanitizer works the best) to make your hands more conducting and increase the multimeter reading!!!

Principle.
  • Sweat on your hands acts as an electrolyte.
  • Copper gives up negative electrons when touched and becomes positively charged.
  • When the aluminium plate is touched it takes negative electrons and becomes negatively charged.
  • The difference creates flow of electrical charges or current.
  • Electrons flow from plate πŸ‘‰ meter  πŸ‘‰ copper plate  πŸ‘‰body πŸ‘‰ forming a hand battery!!!
